Andrea is a Fellow Chartered Accountant, qualifying with KPMG Ireland and then transferring to the London Management Consultancy division working within the Financial Services and Aviation sectors. Since leaving KPMG, Andrea has consulted to both large corporations and SMEs alike. Having a foothold in both enables Andrea to bring innovation to large corp engagements and bring best practice to start-ups.  

For the past decade, Andrea has worked with hundreds of SMEs across all sectors to assist them with their fundraising and have achieved over £180m in closed finance deals. In order to scale this experience, Andrea has now launched an online platform called Swoop.

Swoop combines smart tech with human expertise to match small and medium businesses to the right finance at the right time across loans, equity and grants. Swoop is a one-stop shop for businesses seeking finance. Our user friendly tech platform simplifies and speeds-up access to loans, grants and equity investment – in one application. We combine breakthrough technology with decades of finance expertise so that our customers can focus on building their business while we mange the funding process from beginning to end. Winning the Open Banking Challenge 2018 – a global fintech competition set by the UK Banks.

Andrea is also on the Board of the South East Midlands Government Growth Hub and is a member of the Start-Up Advisory board for the Irish Government Agency, Enterprise Ireland.
