Simone Crolla joined the American Chamber of Commerce in Italy (“AmCham”), affiliated with the US Chamber of Commerce, as Managing Director in April 2009. Founded in 1915, AmCham is a private non-profit organization which aims to facilitate the development of economic and political relations between the United States and Italy.
Since November 2018 he leads the Advisory Board of the Veneranda Fabbrica del Duomo di Milano, an ecclesiastical body operating since 1387, and is a member of the U.S. Board of Directors of the International Patrons of Duomo di Milano, a 501 (c) (3) nonprofit organization based in New York.
In 2021, he held the courses “Invest in the U.S.” and “International Business-Government International Organizations Relations” within the Master in International Management of Libera Università Internazionale degli Studi Sociali Guido Carli (LUISS) of Rome.
He has been one of the founders of the USA Pavilion at Expo 2015 after being awarded, in association with other US organizations, the Request for Proposal of the US Department of State.
He has been the Director of Italian Relationships. From February 2012 to March 2013 he was a Member of Parliament (“MP”), partaking in the foreign affairs committee, where he was the President of the foreign sub-committee “Italiani nel Mondo”.
From October 2003 to May 2006 he assumed the position of Deputy Head of the Office of the Prime Minister at Palazzo Chigi (Rome).
In addition to the above, in 2004 he was selected by the US State Department as the only Italian participant in the “International Visitor Leadership Program”, involving him in an experience developed in different US cities.
He received his degree in Political Science from the State University of Milan. In 2000 he attended a postgraduate course in International Law at the University of Helsinki.
